I have always found it very helpful to take notes - especially because I have a pretty bad memory. I tried using Notion & Obsidian to keep track of my thoughts, but it was a lot of work to maintain.
To-do apps are also high-maintenance, and they don’t double as a brain dump for me. Apple Notes have been hard to use for writing down tasks, but they’ve been useful for lengthy brain dumps & grocery lists.
I then realized that I often text myself on Messenger and Slack to quickly note things down, but it was hard to search messages. These apps also lack the functionality to mark messages as done, or open multiple chats with myself for my different projects.
So I built Braintext to make my digital note-taking much more lightweight. I can send myself notes, set reminders & easily search for past things I’ve said (or need to do). I can even ask an AI to help me remember things. I can start threads and channels to categorize topics and commitments.
I use Braintext as my second brain to remember what I would normally forget, and declutter my thoughts.
Now that this has solved a tricky problem for me, I’m wondering if anybody else would find this useful.
